You can make custom handrails with our handrail router bit sets. Route the sides of your handrail with the profile bit, and then use the table edge bit to shape the top.

Create railings and handrails with this 2 bit Router bit set. The profile bit will cut both sides of the handrail and the edging bit will ogee the top for a smooth finish. Two flute carbide cutters & 1/2" shanks.

It works as advertised. It formed good molding on my router table using two passes in cherry wood. I figured that a single pass was expecting too much, taking off too much wood, but two passes worked fine.

The set looks perfect. I’ve tested 8 of them so far and made about 100 lf of of softwood moldings with one of them on my router table. They make a beautiful cut with little effort. The many profiles to work with really spark my imagination. Most of the cuts were done with a one pass cut, with no burning. I plan on having a lot of fun with these.
I can’t say anything about these work with hardwoods. I’m working with cedar, fir and hemlock. I’m retired and doing some big remodeling projects on my house. For a homeowner like me that works with softwood these seem to be the cats meow.
