A tongue and groove joint is the ideal way to create flat, even joints for flooring, wainscoting, panels and tabletops. Tongue and groove flooring router bits will cut the 2 mating profiles for this easy to make woodworking joint with ease and with a simple setup. This joint also provides a lot of gluing surface as well as aligning ease. Tongue and groove bits can take quite a big bite out of the wood, so using these bits in a router table is strongly recommended. Even though some smaller tongue and groove bits can be utilized in a hand-held router the stability of a table will help keep the joint perfectly square. For best results, use with solid wood only.

This mini v-groove tongue and groove flooring router bit set is great for 5/8" stock and can also be used as a standard tongue and groove for stock as small as 3/8". The tongue and groove section measures 1/4" deep x 3/16" high. 1/4" shanks

Great value for the money

Great alternative to buying a biscuit joiner, if you have a limited amount of joints to make, and you have a router table, this will work great. Only issue, you can’t just plunge your work into the bit, you have to travel a bit as well, but that no big deal. And the bit itself seems of high quality, and has a 1/2” shank, for strength.

Very sharp, long shank, worked for my application with porter cable style bushings from HF. Be aware that there is a bit of a collar where the bit attaches to the shank, I was a little worried it wouldn’t fit in my collet, but there was just enough room.
