I only needed this for a one time repair so I can't comment on longevity. I only cut up to the shoulder of the bi and it did a good job on red oak. After a little hand sanding my drawer facing looked pretty good. I have a smaller sized router and had to be carefull to keep the plate flat on the surface as the large bit cuts out alot of your surface area.
