Top bearing slot cutting router bits are specifically designed for on-site deck board slotting to be used in conjunction with hidden deck board fasteners. The bearing's position allows for easy slotting on deck boards that are already positioned on the deck beams. There is no protrusion at the end of the bit that will interfere with any underlying wood.

This top bearing slot cutter router bit routes a 1/4" x 1/4" slot. The overall diameter is 1-1/4" and 1/4" shank.

Not a perfect tongue in groove but good enough to make my MDF shaker doors. Haven’t tried them on hardwood, but then again, not sure if I would even attempt it. good value!

I just ran a good amount of end grain white oak through the finger joint bit. Set up took a white to make sure I had the two different heights but once things were set and measured it went smooth.

I had never used a biscuit for gluing wood together so I ordered this bit and a bag of biscuits, a lot because of price. It worked fantastic. It is very sharp and made slots in 3/4” pine with no problem. I think it will last a long time and am very pleased with it.
