Being a Vine-Reviewer means I have to write quick and honest reviews. I love doing that, because I know how frustrating it is to get a bad, not the right, or the wrong product. What I can rarely provide is how the product performs over time. I update my product reviews if a product didn't age well (or too fast), but initial reviews never deal with that. That's an issue with tools, because they usually perform well when new.
So I will share some experience I have with similar router bits in the same quality and price range.
First: It's a 1/2" shank. That's better because they have more mass and provide more stability, but if your router only accepts 1/4" bits, these won't fit.
Like most of them these are okay to work with, but they are not high end and won’t last as long as more expensive bits. More important: It’s about consistency. These are okay for many smaller projects, where a slight difference in the finish doesn’t show. For larger builds, let’s say a big piece of furniture, all edges have to look the same. Imagine all the work and the edges look a minimini different from each other. It can’t be unseen and things like that haunt me for the rest of my life.
At this price point they are good to play with, especially for novice woodworkers. There is also no money lost, because with proper care these are worth it. Just keep in mind what they are. I hope this helps to make a decision.
